How to glow up for 2023 💗

Hello girlies for today’s post I’m going to be talking about how you can glow up for 2023. This post is divided into two parts, physical glow up tips and mental glow up tips.

I’m going to be starting with physical glow up tips 🥝

1. Skincare should be your major priority; I recommend seeing an aesthetician so that you don’t damage your skin and cause more serious skin problems. And please be very careful with trying home recipes. Some home recipes can damage your skin. I tried the lemon and honey scrub and my face reacted very badly because lemon isn’t really for everyone’s skin.

2. Know your skin type and which products work for you; there are three major skin types which are; combination skin,dry skin and oily skin. So some products work for oily but don’t work for dry skin so it’s best to identify your skin type before buying products.

3. Change your pillowcase every week; don’t use your pillowcase for more than 2 weeks,it’s very unhygienic. Your hair is touching it and it may be dirty and the dirt is being transferred to your face and also when you sweat at night it stays in the pillowcase causing you to have breakouts and pimples.

4. Have a signature scent; having a signature scent is good because when you walk into a room people can easily identify you. Plus it’s just really nice to have a distinct smell that is you.

5. Wear clothes that fit your body; baggy clothes are really cute,but if that’s not your style,then try buying clothes that aren’t too loose but also not fitted to your body to much. It should just sit perfectly on you,and be comfortable to move in. And it boosts confidence so it’s important you are comfortable.

6. Workout at least 2-3 times a week; working out really isn’t just about weight loss weight gain,it’s also about maintaining your body to look healthy and fit.

7. Shave necessary parts of your body; shave your underarms,and private parts. It’s important because it reduces odor. Especially underarm hair,it actually causes serious odor and makes you perspire more.

8. Spend less time on social media; don’t be so addicted to scrolling through Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms, because it’s very toxic and is a total waste of time. . If you feel bored and need to do something,I recommend trying new hobbies and interests, you can also decide to take a course on Coursera or Udemy to widen your knowledge and have a new skill or side hustle

9. Wash your hair twice a week 2-3times a week with trusted shampoo; use shampoo that will help to strengthen your hair and scalp and make sure to really take your time to really wash off and cream your hair gently.

10. Stop skipping meals because you want to loose weight; please don’t skip breakfast,it’s very important because it’s the first meal of the day and it will nourish and prepare your body for the first few hours of the day.And if you want to loose weight but don’t want to excercise,I recommend increasing your daily steps.

Mental glow up tips

1. Stop comparing yourself to others. You are enough,and don’t try to fit into society’s harsh beauty standards.

2. Drop all toxic friends and relationship; don’t stay around toxic people who make you feel bad about yourself and don’t encourage you to pursue your goals and dreams.

3. Leave your toxic past behind,stop worrying about toxic people and friends; leave your toxic past,stop over thinking, worrying about things you cannot change or fix,but rather worry about what you can change right now. Worry about the future and what you can do to change it.

4. Pray to God every day for guidance and protection; whatever you want ask God for it and he will help you to achieve it. Whatever you believe in and worship keep praying to that high being for whatever you want. I’m a Christian so I pray to God.

5. Do not bottle your feelings ever; whatever you are feeling and if someone is the reason you’re sad,please tell them,don’t just keep it to yourself and remain sad for the rest of the day. Rather address the situation and let the person know you were hurt.

6. Picture the future you want and work towards it. Don’t let anyone bring you down from what you love doing.

7. Be unapologetic for wanting to live a minimalist and healthy lifestyle.

8. Learn to love and accept things you can’t change and remember to always live in the moment.

9. Remember to read your Bible and pray every day because God is the only one who won’t disappoint you in times of need.

10. Talk to someone you trust if you are facing problems; if your going through a difficult time or situation,don’t feel keep it to yourself,try to talk to someone about it,so that it helps to solve the problem.
